Prof. Salomon Israel
Principal Investigator
I am an Associate Professor at The Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
Prior to my current position, I was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Duke University in Durham from 2012 to 2014, working in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience.
My educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Cognitive Science from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), a Master's degree in Cognitive Science from The Hebrew
University, and a PhD in Psychology from The Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

Throughout my academic journey, I have taught various courses at The Hebrew University, including "A view into psychological science: brain and behavior", "Personality", "The nature and nurture of the social brain", "Human altruism" and "The neuroendocrine basis of social stress and social behavior".
I have expertise in Sociobiology, focusing on the evolutionary basis of social behaviors and interactions in humans. My research aims to uncover the genetic and hormonal mechanisms driving social behaviors, shedding light on their adaptive significance and real-world applications.
